Ocean Prime and Del Mar to take part in inaugural Flavors of 5th charity dining event

Two of Naples’ iconic eating establishments, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ Ocean Prime and Del Mar, will be joining several other favorites on vibrant 5^th Avenue South as part of the Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District's first Flavors of 5th dining event. The month-long happening takes place from Thursday, Aug. 1 – Saturday, Aug. 31.

Restaurants taking part in Flavors of 5^th will offer three course Prix Fixe menus. Ocean Prime’s menu is $60 per meal while Del Mar’s pricing varies starting at $35 per meal. Ocean Prime will offer the special pricing Sundays – Thursdays during the month. 

Ocean Prime, located at 699 5th Ave. S., Naples, will feature such items as:

• Lobster Bisque with butter poached lobster.
• French Onion Soup with brandy and aged Swiss.
• Sea Scallops with Parmesan Risotto, English Peas and Citrus Vinaigrette.
• Chilean Sea Bass with Broccolini, Pearl Onion, Potato Puree and Truffle Vinaigrette.
• Teriyaki Salmon with Shiitake Sticky Rice and Soy Butter Sauce.
•  8 oz. Filet with Haricot Verts and Cabernet Jus.
•  Five Layer Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and Pineapple Syrup.

Del Mar, located at 494 5th Ave. S., Naples, will offer items such as:

• Spicy Feta.
• Baba Ganoush.
• Golden Beet Salad with avocado, apple, spiced pistachios and herb yogurt.
• Lobster Spaghetti with sweet garlic tomato sauce, parmigiano Reggiano and Calabrian chili.
• Swordfish with marinated olives, pine nuts, confit potatoes and saffron tomato sauce.
• Half Roasted Chicken with curried carrots, sunflower seeds and za’atar.
• Baklava with pistachio walnut ice cream.

Ten restaurants in all will participate in the inaugural event. One dollar from every promotional Prix Fixe dinner sold will being donated to Beverly’s Angels.

Beverly’s Angels is an organization that supports individuals in the community striving to build their own paths, navigating careers and full-time jobs, and often supporting families while enduring lengthy daily commutes.
