Avow, a leading nonprofit health care provider based in Southwest Florida, today announced its expansion into Glades, Hendry and Lee counties. This expansion extends Avow’s high-quality hospice and comprehensive bereavement support, increasing access and impact for families across the region.

Founded in 1983 by volunteers as Collier County’s first hospice, Avow has grown into one of the largest hospices in the United States, guided by a clear mission: to create peace of mind by providing compassionate care and support to those who need it. This expansion of care reflects Avow’s commitment to the Southwest Florida community and a deeply held belief that every family deserves comfort, dignity and expert support close to home. Over the past year, Avow has expanded its reach and deepened its impact, caring for more than 2,900 hospice patients annually and providing more than 4,000 palliative care visits through its Naples clinic and satellite locations, demonstrating its vital role in meeting the evolving health care needs of communities across Southwest Florida.

“As our region grows, so does our commitment to the people of Glades, Hendry and Lee counties. For more than four decades, Avow has served with excellence and unwavering compassion. We are dedicated to ensuring that every patient and family feels fully supported, truly seen, heard and embraced with care at every moment of their journey.” said Jaysen Roa, president and CEO of Avow.

Services now available in Glades, Hendry and Lee counties include:

  • 4-Star rated hospice care focused on comfort, dignity and quality outcomes.
  • Non-hospice palliative care, pioneered locally by Avow in 2003, for individuals living with serious illnesses.
  • Bereavement support programs serving children and adults.

Beyond its comprehensive core health care services, Avow incorporates integrative therapies, including music therapy and massage therapy, as well as PAWS pet therapy, to promote physical and emotional well-being. These therapies help patients and families experience comfort, connection and reassurance during challenging times. Through its care expansion into Glades, Hendry and Lee counties, Avow will extend these supportive services to more families, increasing access to compassionate, high-quality care across Southwest Florida.
