Fast Facts: - The District employs approximately 3,200 highly qualified teachers, 46% with advanced degrees. - We receive help from more than 6,000 active and dedicated volunteers annually who donate countless hours of service to our students and schools. - There are many opportunities for students to take dual-enrollment courses and a wide variety of Advanced Placement and Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Government, Education & Individuals (AICE) courses. - English is not the first language for nearly 16% of our students with more than 7,500 (K-12) students in the English Language Learners (ELL) program. Collectively, these students speak 104 different heritage languages and hail from 76 different countries of origin. - More than 55% of our students live in non-English homes, where English is not the first language and sometimes isn't even spoken. - The Collier district is a recognized leader in Florida when it comes to Computers & Telecommunications. There are approximately 54,000 networked computers in use district-wide, giving us a 1-to-1 ratio.
