Join us for a thought-provoking program by Dr. Betsy Brothers, M.D., Chief Medical Officer for NCH N.Campus and Dr. Mike Martin, Ph.D., President Emeritus of FGCU, exploring the obstacles women face in accessing essential healthcare and their consequences. A catered reception will follow.

A Catherine E. Hackney, Ph.D. Lecture

Dr. Betsy Brothers has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Naples since 2001. She is the co-founder of Southwest Florida Women’s Group, which now includes six OB/GYN physicians. Dr. Brothers has proudly served as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NCH and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of the NCH North Campus.

Dr. Michael V. Martin is an economist and life long academic having started as a Professor of Applied Economics at Oregon State University followed by administrative roles at several universities over a 54 year career. In 2023, he became President Emeritus of Florida Gulf Coast University, after six years of service.
